Amazon is announcing significant changes in the fee structure for “Best Deals”, Lightning Deals and Amazon Coupons in the German marketplace on June 2, 2025. The aim of these adjustments is to offer sellers more flexibility and to align fees more closely with the sales achieved.
From this date, sellers can set the duration of their “Best Deals” individually between 1 and 14 days, regardless of the day of the week. This enables better adaptation to market trends and business goals. However, fixed running times remain in place for sales peak events such as Prime Day or Black Friday.
The previous fixed upfront fee of €70 for “Best Deals” and €35 for Lightning Deals is replaced by a combination of a daily upfront fee and a sales-related fee:
These changes apply exclusively to offers outside sales speak events. For Prime Day 2025, the existing fee structure remains unchanged.
The fees for Amazon coupons are also being revised:
This fee structure applies both to regular sales periods and to sales speak events.
The new fee models enable sellers to make their offers more flexible and better link costs to actual sales success. The reduced upfront fee lowers the barrier to entry for promotions, while the revenue-based component ensures that fees are in proportion to success.
The adjustments to Amazon's fee structure offer sellers new opportunities to make their sales strategies more efficient and cost-effective. However, it is important to analyse the individual effects on your own business and adjust your offer planning accordingly.
