Participation in the Amazon Vine program is not free for sellers with Amazon FBM (Fulfillment by Merchant). Since 2021, Amazon has been charging a fee for every product registered in the Vine program. This is usually included with €200 per ASIN (plus VAT), but may differ depending on the category and promotional period. The fee is only charged if at least one Vine review has been received. Shipping and product costs are borne by sellers themselves.
Amazon FBM retailers in particular often ask themselves whether the investment is worthwhile. Since Vine reviews come from verified testers and can significantly increase the visibility and conversion rate of a product, participation is profitable for many brands in the long term.
